Massimo Felici Studied with Oscar Ghiglia at the Chigiana Academy in Siena and at the Musik-Akademie in Basel. He won 1st Prize in the International Competitions of Gargnano and Màlaga was also awarded important acknowledgments and prizes in Alessandria, Parma and Granada. He has been invited to many important festivals all over the world to perform as soloist and with orchestras and to give Masterclasses.

His CD Escarraman, which contains première recordings of works by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, obtained enthusiastic international critical acclaim: “He is one of the best European guitarists we have ever listened to” (American Records’ Guide).Together with Lorenzo Micheli, he recorded the Complete Guitar Concertos by Castelnuovo-Tedesco as well as the premiére of Morning in Iowa. Composers Giovanni Sollima and Luis Bacalov dedicated new guitar works to him.

Massimo Felici teachse guitar at Conservatory Arrigo Boito in Parma, where he also holds the position of Dean.
