Born in Argentina in 1986, Fabián Cardozo discovered the guitar as a traditional instrument of his country's folk music at the age of 8. In 1997, he began his studies as a classical guitarist at the Universidad Nacional de Tucumán, from which he graduated with a degree in music performance in 2005. At the age of 15, he began his concert career in important halls in Argentina and was invited to the Guitarras del Mundo festival.

In 2008, Cardozo moved to Switzerland to continue his studies at the Basel University of Music under the guidance of Pablo Márquez, completing his Master of Arts in Musical Performance with distinction in 2010 and his Master in Music Education in 2012. His plays a wide concert repertoire, performing both solo and as a soloist with orchestras, as a chamber musician and as a folk musician. Cardozo has won 9 international prizes in Argentina, Bolivia, Mexico, Spain, Italy, France and Switzerland. He currently teaches at the music school and at the Basel University of Music.
