We are very pleased to announce that the Goethe-Institut of Paris will be our partner at the cciMB 2018. Dedicated to the promotion of the German language and culture around the world, the Goethe-Institut offers a wide range of educational and cultural programs and encourages international cultural exchange and relations . On April 30, 2018, it will host two Masterclasses by German Jury members Stephan Schmidt and Michael Hampel at its premises in 17, Avenue d’Iéna, Paris.

The cciMB 2018 has commissioned the French composer Jean-Dominique Krynen to write a piece for guitar that will be played by the participants of the competition. The composition, Cantar de mio Cid n° 3, is the final movement of a Sonata written for and dedicated to the French Master of the guitar Gérard Abiton as well as to the master of Andalusian poetry Antonio Carvajal. The score will be available to participants upon completing their application.
