Festival International de Guitare de Paris

Organized for the first time in 2003, as a continuation of Radio France’s International Guitar Competition suspended in 1996, the Festival International de Guitare de Paris has already reached its 14th edition in 2016 and has seen over the years the performance of some of the most important guitarists today like Roland Dyens, Stephan Schmidt, Sergio and Odair Assad, Gérard Abiton, Jérémy Jouve, Pavel Steidl, Aniello Desideri, and Pablo Marquez. This year, Tania Chagnot, the driving force behind this successful festival has agreed to support the 4th International Guitar Competition Maurizio Biasini by promoting its concerts and events in Paris. An accomplished classical guitarist and multiple prize winner, Tania Chagnot is well known for her vocation to present the public with a wide range of guitar repertoire. She is founder and president of the association Vous avez dit guitar? (Did you say guitar?), a non-profit organization which organizes and promotes guitar concerts and events in the Paris area.
